This is a very common type of inflamed skin. In fact, most babies are said to get this condition at least one time over the course of their life. You are more than likely going to start to see diaper rash after you add some solid food to your baby’s diet plan. Most of the time, when you are breast feeding, this is something that does not come up very often. However, it’s not just what the baby eats that can cause diaper rash. As said before, diaper rash is something that is fairly easily to get rid of. That is a good thing, because diaper rash is very easy to get. Most babies will get diaper rash at some point in their life. It happens to all races and babies of either sex. If your baby does get this rash, it does not mean that you did something wrong. After all, they can get this rash from eating solid food, and that is something that all babies must do at some point in time.

The symptoms of the diaper rash are going to be pretty easy to spot. Most of the time, you are going to look for symptoms on the skin. For example, you will more than likely see red puffy skin around the butt or the genitals of the baby. Not only that, but you may notice that the baby acts funny when doing certain things. For example, the baby may sit funny or cry a lot when the diaper area is washed or touched.

You do not have to go to a doctor to have your diaper rash diagnosed. This is something that you should be able to do yourself. Because of that, you do have to keep a look out for it. If you do choose to take your baby in to see the doctor. Then the doctor is simply going to do a quick examination of the skin of your baby. He will be able to tell you right away if it is indeed a diaper rash. Some people think of this as a waste of money, but it is your call.

Finding a diaper rash treatment is just as easy as spotting the symptoms. One of the best diaper rash remedies that you can ask for is to just keep the baby’s skin clean and, of course, dry. This is what your doctor will tell you to do in order to treat the baby rash. If this does not get rid of the baby rash, then you may need to go see the doctor. He will give you some anti-fungal cream that will be able to help treat the diaper rash. However, a diaper rash cure does not always have to be settled with a cream. In fact, you should be able to clear up your baby’s diaper rash by simply following some of the home remedies that we will be taking about soon.

Home Remedies

The first home remedies for diaper rash that we will talk about are simple. All you need to do is make sure that you wash your baby’s bottom after every bowel movement. One of the best ways to do that is with running tap water. This is so that you can be sure that you are washing away any kind of bacteria that could be on your baby. Next, you should dab the rash area dry. It helps if you also put some rash creams on your baby’s bottom. Other diaper rash home remedies revolve around putting some oatmeal in the bath water. This is always an effective way to deal with diaper rash. If you choose to not give your baby a bath after every bowel movement, then you still have to make sure that the diaper area is well cleaned. You should wash it for about 15 minutes to make sure that you have it completely gone.
