Knee arthritis:
Arthritis is problem where the cartilage between the bones of a joint wears away and bones come in direct contact with each other. From the two types of arthritis of the fingers are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis involves rapid degeneration of joint cartilage and mostly affects the joints at the knuckles and joints at the base of the thumb. Rheumatoid arthritis, on the other hand, is the disorder that causes inflammation of the synovial membrane, which lines the joints.

There are several different factors that can lead to this disease. Few of them are inheritance, age, obesity, injury, illness or infection. Arthritis in knee leaves the person in severe pain and the one feels pity about the person. The symptoms of the knee arthritis are as follows:
Symptoms of the disease:
One of the prominent symptoms of knee arthritis is swelling and grinding. The knee swells up too bad that it is noticeable and tender to touch. The joints come in direct contact with one another that it produces sound in the joints.
Another symptom of knee arthritis is the problem that most of the patients feels is the movement of their legs. They are not able to move around freely and cannot sit comfortably. Therefore, they walk or sit in a particular posture leading to the deformation of knee and legs. This can also lead to the arthritis in legs. There are four main ligaments in the knee out of which we will discuss the anterior cruciate ligament whose function is to maintain the stability of the knee joint. Those patients who are suffering from the arthritis in knee are seen to be complaining about popping or snapping within the knee. They get a feeling of the knee falling apart from their body.
Another major symptom of this disease is the pain in knee whose intensity varies from time to time but it does happen. Constant source of pain makes the person’s life worst and unbearable. The pain gets worst on walking or moving around frequently. Whereas, sources of pain can be different for example it can be due to inflammation in ligaments, tendons or synovial membrane. The patient feels the pain everywhere around the knee, sometimes inside the knee and sometimes at the outer part of it.
